If you've had sexual partners, how have you usually found out if/when they have been tested for STIs?

Only had one sexual partner so far, we were both new to anything partnersexed. Didn't do tests or anything.

But in the future, I'm sure I'll come across partners who have also had previous partners, and we'll both discuss it, and also get tested together. I guess some people might not like that idea, but I think it would be a bonding experience...I will also be getting tested on my own periodically, but doing so with a partner would be great support.

He's my first, I'm his third. He hasn't been tested yet due to time and money constraints, but he's willing to be. In the meantime, we've been very diligent about using latex barrier protection, even for oral.

I stumbled upon this and saw all of the choices. I was hopeful that my answer would be listed, but no. Not too surprising. I have asked my sexual partners, well I think I asked all of them, and they all denied having anything but never gave details and I foolishly asked AFTER sex. The first time I was too impulsive and it didn't occur to me to ask. That turned into a dud. The next time I had been too drunk to ask. The last time.. well I asked both of the guys and they both gave very colorful and rude answers, again AFTER sex. Had I thought clearly, or been sober, any of the times I sure as heck would have asked, heck I probably would still be a virgin. And if I ever feel like doing that again (unlikely) I will ask.

She told me she had been tested recently, which AFAIK was true. However, she failed to mention that she had had a condom break about three weeks prior... Well, we sort-of used a condom anyway (that is, for penile vaginal penetration, but not for the rest) and it turned out OK in the end.

since my partner has a health condition, he has to go in every 6 months for blood tests, and since he first started being sexually active theyve also included STI checks with it.

My only sexual partner and I, we were only 16 when we started seeing each other and virgins in every sense of the word - we hadn't even kissed anyone before each other. So there was no real need to talk about STIs.

Any partner I haven't used a condom with I asked in advanced, both had been cheated on a got tested right before the person started dating me. As far as I know they got tested for the typical. One actually gotten molluscum which isn't technically an sti but where he had it, it had been sexually transmitted. He went to the doctor for the diagnosis and received treatment before we engaged in sexual activities.
